The Montsssori Classroom has begun it's unit on Purim! We have introduced many lessons, projects, and fun songs in honor of this holiday. Take a look at the following photos to see what we're up to:
Dressing up for Adar during Show & Tell
Painting with triangle sponges for Haman's triangle hat
Coin Pattern Lesson- excellent for building fine motor skills, fun to play with real money, and in honor of the King's many riches!
Counting numbers 0-9 with jewelry
Sorting Jewels by color
Testing out various items to see which makes the loudest sound for our Graggers!!
The Montessori classroom has super fun new lessons! All of our blessings and kosher lessons can be found in a life like mini shopping cart. We also decorated abstract placemats to use during lunch time and recognize whether the lunch is meat or milk status.
New Montessori Lesson! Morah Annette introduced a new practical life lesson. Students can take the lesson, fill the bowls up with water, and transfer the water between the bowls using a dropper. This is awesome for building fine motor skills and coordination!!
For the past few weeks the Montessori Classroom has been studying the Brachos (Blessings) we recite on food. Each Bracha is accompanied by a Hebrew Montessori lesson- a board for each Bracha with respective examples of food connected by Velcro. For each Bracha we also did a hands on project or an arts n craft lesson. Please enjoy checking out the pictures of this unit below! Velcro Brachos Board
